The BB&T now Truist Economic Growth Fund at the Lancaster County Community Foundation has provided nearly $850,000 to support seven higher education institutions committed to supporting career placement opportunities for Lancaster youth.

The pandemic has changed so much about the way we communicate and connect in fundamental ways. With the increased digitization of human contact, it's made receiving mail a rare treat for so many of us. And, around this time each year, the Community Foundation receives just about the best mail you could hope for: dozens of thank you letters from students who are part of the Pennsylvania Future Farmers of America.

Over the month of February, In Good Company-- a joint initiative with the Community Foundation, ASSETS, and the Lancaster Chamber hosted a series of digital conversations to with local business leaders to discuss how we can best learn from each other, build collective understanding, and use business as a force for good in our community.
Nine months later, 750 community members, organizations and companies had raised more than $1 million. The Lancaster Cares COVID-19 Response Fund has supported more than 100 organizations responding to the pandemic with new initiatives; support for food security; housing support; and support for other needs that emerged across Lancaster County.
