Lancaster County Homelessness and Affordable Housing Fund

ABOUT THE FUND

In 2010, the Lancaster County Homelessness Coalition was created to address homelessness in the county.  It has morphed and moved until it came under the Lancaster County Housing and Redevelopment Authority in 2022.  We believe that all Lancastrians deserve a safe, affordable place to call home and that access to stable housing is transformative in the lives of our low-income and unhoused neighbors. Through partnerships with municipalities throughout the county, working collaboratively with other local organizations, and the support of generous local foundations and County residents like you, we envision a future Lancaster where every person has a place to call home.

Donations made to the Lancaster County Homelessness and Affordable Housing Fund will support the work of the Lancaster County Homelessness Coalition. Your generous support will be used to assist in the creation of new affordable housing units and provision of services for our unhoused neighbors and most vulnerable residents. The need for affordable housing is urgent as are the support needs for new and existing homelessness service programs.

Contributions will also be used to support the Prince Street Community Hub. This Hub will be a facility dedicated to providing support for individuals and families at risk of or actively experiencing homelessness.  During the day, individuals and families can find resources they need to help find and maintain stable housing including case management, laundry, shower, and locker services.  The space will also offer crisis shelter and supportive rental units.

Together, we can house all of Lancaster County.
