About the Organization

The Fulton Theatre, built in 1852, is a professional regional theatre housed in a National Historic Landmark located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  The Fulton’s Landmark Theatre status – one of only eight theatres nationally to have this distinction – is by virtue of our mission: to engage the public through exceptional theatre experiences that honor, preserve and extend the Fulton’s role as a National Historic Landmark.

Annually, the Fulton touches the lives of more than 130,000 people through programs and performances that include our Mainstage Season, Family Theatre Series, year-round Academy of Theatre and nationally-recognized Youtheatre program.  In doing so, our historic theatre continues to proudly serve as our community’s meeting place and home for the performing arts.

Why is endowment important to your mission?

The Fulton Theatre Trustees are critically mindful of the importance of endowment growth as they work to engage the public through exceptional theatre experiences that honor, preserve and extend the Fulton’s role as a National Historic Landmark. The theatre relies on both public and private support to produce world-class performances, and building the endowment only strengthens their commitment to do so. Preserving the historic building is equally important to the Trustees and the community that is being served.  The Fulton Theatre Fund with LCCF and the Endowment funds held by the theatre need to survive and grow to ensure a legacy for anyone who loves theatre, now and forever.
