Joe Hess

Joe Hess is a senior investment consultant at Vanguard. He joined the firm in 2009 and has held a variety of positions across the organization. In his current role, Joe works with nonprofit organizations across the Northeast, providing investment counseling and advice on topics ranging from policy design and portfolio construction to capital market research and performance evaluation. He is a CFA® charterholder and member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia. He also holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation and a Certificate in Performance Measurement (CIPM).

Joe is a Lancaster county native. After earning a BBA in finance and risk management from Temple University, he returned to Lancaster. Joe and his wife currently reside on East Walnut Street and in his free time Joe enjoys biking, playing softball, and strolling the city with his two-year old daughter.
