The Adamstown Area Library is a vital public resource that serves as a gateway to an expanding world of knowledge and has a regional reputation for excellence in customer service. As a community center, it provides educational and cultural opportunities for lifelong learning. During the COVID-19 crisis, we have adapted in-person programming to the virtual world, providing online storytimes, crafting courses, and one-on-one FAFSA help services, just to name a few. We are providing an expanding amount of content in the form of ebooks and audiobooks through OverDrive. With many students home from school, we're offering free online tutoring and career coaching through BrainFuse and JobFuse, respectively. We are wishing our communities good health and safety, and are here to provide information and assistance when you need it.

Children Deserve a Chance Foundation (CDCF) and its flagship program, Attollo, support success-oriented youth from primarily under-represented communities in their pursuit of academic achievement, empowerment, and social engagement. Attollo is a rigorous college access program, which changes the trajectory of diverse cohorts of high school students in South Central Pennsylvania. Attollo is based on the concept, ‘Dreams Don’t Work Unless You Do’. Attollo begins with a 6-week introspective onboarding process with daily 5:30 AM start times and delivers an intense, completely comprehensive 18-month college access program. Attollo strives towards helping students access higher education not simply through SAT prep and college essays guidance but by providing a holistic leadership development and mentorship program with focuses on entrepreneurship, medicine, public policy, engineering, and coding. Attollo empowers our Scholars to step out of their comfort zones to build on their idea of attending college. During the COVID-19 crisis Attollo has pivoted all programming to a virtual environment. The current funding requirement is to better enable our scholars and staff to remain connected through technology and to meet the immediate basic needs of Attollo Scholars and their families.

Communities in Schools is the nation's largest dropout prevention network. Communities in Schools of Pennsylvania is one of 26 CIS affiliates providing wraparound service to at-risk students and families throughout the region. In Lancaster, CISPA serves as the Lead Agency for four out of the seven full-service community schools within the School District of Lancaster: Burrowes Elementary, Fulton Elementary, King Elementary, and Lincoln Middle School. At each site, CISPA employs a full-time Community School Director that works to provide holistic, wraparound supports to students and their families with the goal of ensuring that students are supported in their efforts to stay in school and achieve in life. During COVID-19, our work is largely focused on the provision of basic needs items such as food, clothing, school supplies, and hygiene items. Our staff are also connecting with students and parents every day to ensure that they have access to all the resources they need to stay safe and healthy during these difficult times.

DSECC’s ministry is to provide nurturing, safe, educational childcare that emphasizes the worth and uniqueness of each child, in a Christian atmosphere that promotes peaceful resolutions, tolerance, and service which is consistent with the Anabaptist mission of Akron Mennonite Church. Diamond Street enables families to be successful. Our programs provide a strong foundation of education for your child in their most critical years while providing convenient care for working families. We may also provide scholarships for families in need.

The Eastern Lancaster County Library is a public library in New Holland. The vision of the ELANCO Library is to be a highly valued, all-inclusive community resource for education, empowerment, enlightenment, enrichment and entertainment. Although our building is currently closed to prevent the spread of COVID-19, The ELANCO Library is open online, and you can access our digital resources from home. We are offering virtual programming through Zoom, Facebook Live, and YouTube until such a time it is safe to hold in-person events. Our Wi-Fi has been left on allowing patrons to access the internet from the parking lot. We rely on the generous support from donors to provide resources to our community. Municipal and state funding covers only 40% of our annual budget and we are responsible for raising the other 60% ourselves.

Elizabethtown Public Library actively pursues a literate community. The Library helps individuals pursue their highest potential and achieve their biggest dreams. During the Covid-19 crisis, the Library is providing free lunches through Elizabethtown Coffee Company, a department of the Library. We are providing no-contact activity packs that advance STEM learning, family relationships and creativity. The Library is giving away many resources including magazines and puzzles. We have increased our investment in online materials and are responding to as many people as possible who do not have access to the internet. We are striving to answer questions, connect with people who are alone in their worlds, and prepare for the next stage of Library and community healthy growth.

The nonprofit Friends of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania plays a significant role in one of the finest railroad museums in the world by providing a volunteer and paid staff workforce, fundraising support and outstanding programs. The Friends are active in offering a variety of educational opportunities, preserving 100 historic locomotives and railroad cars and maintaining for research, access and exhibit the more than half a million photographs and documents and over 17,000 small artifacts in the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania’s world-class collection.

Global Disciples partners with churches in Africa, Asia, and Latin America to fulfill their vision and passion to reach nearby least-reached people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. One of the strategic advantages for Global Disciples is that our 117 staff members, living in 59 countries, are already at home, providing leadership in their own homelands. The COVID-19 outbreak led Global Disciples to postpone many traditional Spring training events, but that doesn’t mean we’ve stopped working. Our team is staying connected and actively re-imagining trainings in this new environment. Our top priority at this time is to keep our team resourced and connected with those they serve. Special funding opportunities are available to support technology and video production to continue remote communication during this season.

The HACC Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was established in 1985 to raise funds for HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College. HACC and the HACC Foundation are proud to announce that we are doing our part during the global pandemic. Hands-on House Children's Museum of Lancaster is a nonprofit educational center where children ages 2-10 and their families learn by doing, and make lifelong memories in the process. Our self-directed exhibits, interactive programs and outreach workshops in local schools are designed to meet the educational needs of young children, supporting their cognitive, social and emotional growth. Though COVID-19 has closed our doors for now, we remain committed to our mission. If there's one thing we've learned in more than 30 years of designing educational programs and activities, it's that there are countless ways to learn through play. We encourage imaginative thinking, and now we are using that emphasis on creativity to adapt our programs and services for our "new normal," developing fun and educational activities that can be done at-home, virtually, or in compliance with social distancing guidelines. Donations to Hands-on House will help to sustain us through a loss in program revenue and will help us make necessary adaptations to provide opportunities for learning through play outside museum walls.

Horizons at LCDS strives to improve the life trajectory of underserved students by instilling in them the joy of learning, the skills for success, and the inspiration to realize their dreams. We had to cancel our summer program this year, but we're not letting that stop us from supporting the students and families we serve. Throughout the summer, Horizons will deliver "Horizons Bags" full of books, packets, school and art supplies, flashcards and more! In addition to personalized educational materials for each student, each family will receive grocery gift cards, food items, and personal products monthly. We will continue our robust pen pal progam and we will post daily read aloud videos made by our outstanding volunteers. As much as possible, we will serve as a conduit to connect Horizons families with other community resources such as internet access, grab and go meals, and food pantries.

Junior Achievement empowers young people to own their future success. Facilitated by community volunteers, Junior Achievement's programs help K-12 students make connections between their classroom learning and the real world through hands-on activities, games, and simulations that increase their awareness of careers, personal finance, and business. During the COVID-19 crisis, Junior Achievement has developed digital learning experiences that teachers can utilize with their students so they can spend more time planning for and dreaming about tomorrow, and less time worrying about today.

The Lancaster County Career & Technology Foundation was established in 2003 to support the students and programs of the Lancaster County Career & Technology Center (LCCTC). The Foundation’s goal is to ensure the LCCTC has the materials, the equipment and the funding to provide the best in career training for high school and adult students. The LCCTF provides funding for innovative, state of the art equipment, technology, supplies and materials; financial assistance for students for uniforms, books, tools, certification fees; scholarships for post-secondary education; workforce grants for CTC graduates to obtain the tools and materials needed to enter the workforce and begin their career; and provide tuition support for adult students enrolled in Advanced Manufacturing, Transportation and Healthcare programs. During COVID 19 we continue to support LCCTC students with financial assistance, scholarships and workforce grants.

At Reynolds Middle School we work with a dynamic and diverse group of students. Our school has a 90% poverty rate and 100% of our students receive free and reduced lunches. Our students come to school every day and receive more than an education. They receive shelter for the day, food, clothes, social and emotional support, and basic need items. In an attempt to further navigate the COVID-19 crisis and help our resilient families in a time of great need, we are raising relief funds that will be used to help families pay for food, clothes, and basic needs.

The Lancaster Public Library inspires, empowers, and strengthens our community by connecting people with information, ideas, and enriching experiences. During these challenging times, the community can rely on the Lancaster Public Library to provide critical education, social, and literacy resources to patrons of all ages via an abundance of online, virtual, and digital services. These increased resources are made possible through the continual kind support of the community.

Leadership Lancaster's mission is to develop outstanding community leadership to support the needs of Lancaster County. Our programs’ graduates, volunteers, and facilitators are on the front lines of every day leadership and of this crisis. We are watching as they are serving our community, pivoting their business models, and building collaborations. We know we will need connected, educated, and inspired community leaders at all levels and across all sectors to continue to lead, to guide us through this crisis, and to rebuild our community when the crisis is over.

Educating young women is in Linden Hall’s DNA. Founded in 1746, we are the oldest independent boarding and day school for girls in the United States. With a diverse student body, Linden Hall nurtures curious and creative thinkers, fosters leadership, and empowers girls to excel. Students at Linden Hall learn for life, not just for school, and graduate well-prepared for their chosen colleges and future careers. Well known for our diversity in both our community members and our academic offerings, Linden Hall rose to the challenge and maintained academic excellence virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic. Although our community of boarding and day students and teachers and administrators were not able to be together on campus, Linden Hall continued to meet our mission of educating and empowering young women through our online experience, providing a robust virtual learning experience outside of the classroom. Manheim Township Educational Foundation (MTEF) provides resources to educators, administrators and school-related groups for innovative educational programs for all Manheim Township School District students. That innovation can take many forms - and in times like these, it looks a little different. Teachers, students, PTO, and administrators can write grants requesting support from MTEF and we are looking to aid them in ways that address the critical deficits students will face as they return to school. It is more important than ever to support grant initiatives as our students and teachers continue to feel the ripples from this crisis for months (and years) to come. MTEF was established in 1993 to strengthen, enhance and enrich the educational experiences of the students and faculty of the Manheim Township School District. For more than 25 years, our focus has been helping educators deliver creative ideas to students by awarding more than 450 grants. MTEF is an independent, registered 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Manheim Township Public Library informs, educates, inspires, and connects the community, even when the Library building is not open. We know how much the community values the Library, and that is why we continue to provide services virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic. Patrons are never without a good book, movie, music, or magazine when they access e-resources through the Library website. Students can find academic support, including online courses and test prep resources, and job seekers can use online career tools. Virtual programming can be enjoyed on the Library’s social media accounts. We miss our patrons, and we are looking forward to the day when we can again provide in-person service. Free public Library offering traditional library services and updated digital access to the Marietta, Maytown and Mount Joy area residents. by partnering with other local libraries we will bring the annual summer reading program to the community. We are currently closed but planning to reopen soon. Special needs include A LOT of cleaning and PPE supplies.

Mom's House is a non-residential, nondenominational faith-based nonprofit organization that strives to positively influence the lives of two generations through education for both parent and child. Through a comprehensive, holistic model, Mom's House of Lancaster integrates educational programs and advocacy services into the daily lives of underserved single parents and their children. Programming supports any level of educational pursuits our participants have and empowers them to develop long-term goals, establish independence from government subsidy, and build assets. Goal setting by participants promotes hope in the future, establishes behaviors necessary for success, and provides opportunities to celebrate accomplishments. *In the wake of COVID-19, Mom's House of Lancaster has adapted services to provide supports 100% virtually for participants and their children. Our virtual supports keep families home, safe, and continued on individual participants' goals for a better future.

We are a residential intensive program for talented and motivated students in harmony with nature and the community. We provide life changing and transformative opportunities for artists to develop from the time they are students through their emergent careers. Our vision is to be the most transformative, equitable, and enduring residential arts program launched in the 21st century.

The Pennsylvania Friends of Agriculture Foundation mission is to: * Educate the public about farming and agriculture * Create educational programs for children in middle and elementary schools who may have no other exposure to agriculture * Train teachers on agricultural concepts while helping them meet their own continuing education requirements * Support agriculture and preservation of the farm * Fund scholarships for post secondary agricultural studies * Promote career opportunities in agriculture * Many of our events that provide funds for our educational programs were cancelled due to the pandemic. Our Mobile Ag Lab Program, which visits schools teaching students about agriculture, was cancelled due the the closure of schools in PA. Our needs include funding and sponsorships for our educational programs.

Resurrection Catholic School, located in the heart of historic Lancaster City, is a strong and vibrant school where children from diverse cultural backgrounds share the opportunity to achieve excellence in a safe, happy and spiritually nurturing environment. Our dedicated faculty, caring staff, devoted parents and enthusiastic volunteers provide a setting that builds character, self esteem and a desire to succeed. Resurrection is centered on the teachings of Christ, complemented by the rich traditions of the Roman Catholic Church through Mass, the Sacraments and Liturgical celebrations. Through their personal relationship with God, students grow in understanding, making faith a very real and integral part of their lives. The curriculum meets requirements for the Common Core Standards and for the Diocese of Harrisburg. Our core courses include integrated language arts, math, science, social studies and religion. Our weekly classes in art, music, library, Spanish, physical education and computer technology supplement the curriculum to teach the value of a creative, disciplined mind and a healthy body. Upper grade students participate in National History Day and a science fair. Field trips, assemblies and programs allow our students to experience the culture, heritage and diversity of our community. Founded in 1995, Steps to Success Inc is a 501(c)3 child care center in Leola. We provide care in a developmentally appropriate environment for children from six weeks through thirteen years of age. As a non-essential business during this pandemic, we closed on March 17, 2020. With minimal income coming from the Commonwealth, Steps to Success is streamlining expenses. Within 6 months of reopening, we hope to relocate our facility to meet our future needs better. Your support of our ongoing expenses and/or future relocation costs is greatly appreciated.

The Susquehanna Waldorf School is an independent school community rooted in the international movement and philosophy of Waldorf education. We provide a rich and challenging environment that inspires our students to reach the highest levels of intellectual, spiritual, artistic, and physical achievement. Through the integration of these pursuits, we nurture the potential within each child to fully develop his/her unique capacities. Our students acquire a lifelong love of learning and a sense of compassion that benefits them, their community, and the world at large.

Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology and its nonprofit Foundation work together to educate Pennsylvania's economically disadvantaged and other qualified students for high-demand jobs as technicians in 23 advanced manufacturing, IT, and construction fields. Every year, 50% or more of our 1,300 students come from households that are disadvantaged. At least 20% (240-260) students do not have reliable access to a computer and/or the internet at home. During recent state-mandated distance learning, some students had only their smartphones with which to do assignments. You can help improve learning this fall. Please give generously to the "Computer Equipment Fund" now so we can buy laptops, tablets, software, wi-fi hotspots, and prepaid internet subscriptions for temporary loan to college students. With 75+ hands-on exhibits and a wide range of educational programming, LSF helps students foster an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) , which underpins our local economy and defines our identity as a community of makers and doers. Now more than ever, the Science Factory needs your support. While our physical location remains closed during the COVID-19 outbreak, our educators continue to create virtual content for students currently out of school, including videos, remote programming, activity sheets, and more. With your support we hope to reopen when possible with heightened sterilization practices, social distancing, timed visitations, and smaller class sizes when appropriate.

The SPARKS Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to promoting science literacy to school-aged children, regardless of socio-economic status. We provide hands-on science programs to schools that otherwise could not pay for them. In doing so, we further our communities efforts to enhance our children's education by providing much-needed additional resources for schools, as well as beyond the classroom. As of March 16, we have not been able to reach the 72+ classes in 25 schools where we had programming scheduled. We are exploring summer camp possibilities to reach these students as well as other ideas to bring them the scientific fun and education that they missed due to COVID19.

WITF's mission is to strengthen our communities by connecting us to each other and to opportunities for lifelong learning. WITF is a trusted provider of public media news and programming for approximately 2.3 million citizens in Central Pennsylvania. Our children's programming includes public television on WITF TV and PBS Kids 24/7 channel and app. In response to the COVID-19 education challenges, WITF created a new resource on its website to help students stay safe at home while continuing their education. School district curriculum guides are available for several districts in the Lancaster, Harrisburg and York communities. These guides have been paired with WITF TV and radio programming. WITF is proud to offer the region this resource and is able to do so because of the trust our education partners, donors and sponsors place in us.
