Application Process

1. Complete Letter of Intent (LOI) in the grant portal at Lancfound.org/grants. The LOI provides basic organizational information and a brief description of your project concept.

2. After LOI is approved, we will provide full access to the grant application through the same portal.

3. Complete the full application by the final deadline.

4. Draft applications are eligible for staff review and feedback before final submission

Grant Timeline

Application opens: 3/10/2023

Draft applications due for staff feedback (optional): 4/21/2023

LOI Deadline: 5/12/2023

Final applications due: 5/19/2023 at 11:59pm

Award notifications (yes or no): 7/21/2023

Grant funding period: 7/21/2023 to 7/22/2024

Completion Report due: 8/30/2024

2. After Program staff approve an LOI, we will provide access to the grant application through the same grant portal.

3. Complete the full application by final deadline: 7/21/23.

4. Application drafts submitted by 6/23/23 are eligible for staff feedback before final submission.

APPLICATION PROCESS

1. Contact Megan Blackmon at [email protected] to get the access code.

2. Use the code to access the application on the Community Foundation portal, found at LancFound.org/grants.

3. Complete the application by July 21, 2023.

Important Dates

*Drafts saved but not submitted will NOT be considered for feedback.

July 14

For applications submitted for staff feedback, on or before this date, we will return your application back to “draft” status with comments included and you can make any final revisions.

July 21

Final Applications Due at 11:59 pm

GRANT TIMELINE

Award Notification (Yes or No): September 22, 2023 by 5:00 pm

Funding Period: September 22, 2023 – September 21, 2024

Completion report: Due October 31, 2024

Application Process

Applicants must have a conversation with Dave Koser at 717-397-1629 ext. 112
prior to submitting an application. If your organization is eligible, you will receive an access code. Go to
www.LancFound.org/grants, login or register as a Grant Applicant, and enter the access code to begin
the application process.

Grant Timeline

Award Notification: By phone or email (yes or no). Decisions are typically reached within 4-6 weeks of application submission.

Funding Period: Typically grants last for one year, but we would consider a longer duration for special circumstances.

Completion Report: Typically due one month after grant completion. Invoices for expenses of $500 and over are required. Reports are to be completed using the grant portal on Lancfound.org/grants.
